Hanley is the de-facto city centre of the city of Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire. Central Hanley is home to the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery which houses an extensive Ceramics collection focussed on the renowned local pottery industry, plus textiles and a fine display of paintings by British artists. Hanley is also the birthplace of many famous people such as Sir Stanley Matthews, Football's greatest exponent of the game, Edward Smith, Captain of the RMS Titanic who famously went down with his ship & Thomas Twyford, inventor of the flushing toilet.

Overall, sold prices in Hanley over the last year were 3% down on the previous year and 8% down on the 2021 peak of £109,338.
